Statement
I am proud to be re-nominated by the Dartmouth College Association of Alumni. As one of only a few people to receive both the Young Alumni Distinguished Service Award and the Alumni Award, I have been a keen observer of the College for more than 35 years. I have developed great relationships with all of the key members of the Dartmouth family. That includes trustees, Alumni Council officers, administrators, and students.

I continue to see the institution grow and embrace new ideas. At the same time, we must be ever vigilant to ensure that Dartmouth never loses its “sense of place.” Tradition is the bedrock of who we are. Dartmouth's greatest tradition is one of excellence. Excellence comes from the College's ability to hear from all of its constituents and to lead with a clear vision for the future.

The Association of Alumni has made strides in better communicating with the alumni body. As first vice president, I will continue to work to increase transparency and further increase alumni participation in trustee elections. I will continue to solicit ideas and talk with as many alumni as possible, to understand the needs and concerns of the alumni body. Dartmouth maintains a priceless niche in higher education and together we can work to expand her role as the preeminent institution for undergraduate education.

I ask for and would be honored to receive your vote.
